Gutter Capital

The app Gutter Capital uses for the people who work at its office, 221 Canal Street, New York.

When Google asks you to sign in to Gutter Capital, it is for one of two things:

1. Signing in to the Elbow Grease II site

eg-ii.gutter.cc is the private site for Elbow Grease II, Gutter Capital's founder programme: its schedule, cohort, mentors and session bookings. Signing in with Google lets the site check your email address against the list of people who have been given access. It receives only your name and email address.

2. Booking conference rooms with Gutter Bot

Gutter Bot is the office assistant at 221 Canal. People in the building message it in Slack, or in the chat on the Elbow Grease II site, to ask about the office and to find and book the building's nine conference rooms.

To have Gutter Bot book rooms for you, you connect your Google Calendar to it once. After that, only when you ask it to, it:

• creates a meeting on your calendar, with you as the organizer and the conference room invited;
• adds a room, or guests you name, to a meeting you already organized;
• moves, renames or cancels a meeting you organized;
• looks at your events on a day you ask about, to find the meeting you mean.

It never reads or changes your calendar otherwise. Only people on the 221 Canal tenant list can connect. You can disconnect at any time at myaccount.google.com/connections.
